Dessin puissant sur fond de papiers journaux déchirés/recollés sur toile. Fond : mots manuscrits écrits à la pointe à encre de couleur noire sur fond de papiers journaux collés sur la toile. Pour la première fois, papiers journaux peints à l’encre & à l’acrylique (en rouge profond, sang, douleur, violence…). Ces mots manuscrits (démon des mots, démon des maux, no entrance, enough, stop…) sont écrits en continu jusqu’à recouvrir toute la toile. En surimpression de cette résille de mots illisibles de par leur taille, viennent des mots plus imposants & lisibles (no entrance, stop…) toujours à l’encre noire (idée de dureté, agression de l’extérieur…) Visage : mots manuscrits écrits au feutre rouge, ton sur ton, lisibles ou plutôt perceptibles par leur ombre portée (démon des mots, démon des maux…). Choix du feutre : douceur du trait, idée de matière perméable… à l’agression externe… la douleur s’immisce dans la tête… Mains : on retrouve le support de fond (papiers journaux peints en rouge) vierge de tout travail manuscrit. Les mains comme ultime protection contre cette intrusion des mots… Par ces mots écrits à outrance, les reliefs se forment, ombres & lumières apparaissent, le tableau prend corps. Typo manuscrite sur typo dactylographiée... mots et typo apparaissent dans leur signification propre et leur symbolique, trop de trop, trop de mots, trop d’infos.

Those words (such as no entrance, enough, stop, word demon and sorrow demon) are written (either in English or in French) stuck all together to cover the entire canvas, and so small that they’re all illegible. Some of those words (no entrance, stop) are then written bigger and legible superimposed on this net of handwritten words. Head: handwritten words written in red felt-tip pen inside the drawn face on the red patchwork background. They can be read through their drop shadow. Red felt-tip pen against black ink: the softness against the hardness. Hands: only the patchwork of newspapers torn-patched painted in red. No words written. The hands protecting against the aggression of the words. Once again, words are written again and again until saturation, building up relief, shadow and light appear naturally, painting crystallizes. Here the words are used for their meaning, their graphic and their symbolism… too many words… too much data… (24in x 31in)
